Critique Blog #2-
The inspiration for my work is turning a fairy tale and recreating it into an evil modern take on Princess's Aurora (Sleeping beauty) love for animals. Many animals are seen as figures that worship her rather than love her similarly to the movies. The bear is a main character in these pieces because of its power it holds in real life. Princess Aurora obsesses over the the thought of a bear and attempts to become as powerful as the bear. Throughout the images you may see how she changes from the simple sweet princess she was to an obsessive impulsive evil princess. Throughout this work it's seen that you cannot judge a book by its cover, or art least any Disney princess.
